When I uploaded this on the LULU website I was thinking (because of the subject material) that 14 or 16 and up would be better than all readers, but apparently on the website it's eighteen and up. But it is clean. There is nothing graphic. The main topic of this book is abortion.

Synopsis:  Taylor Mordrock was never supposed to be born at all. He survived the abortion attempt which severed his family and left his twin dead. Taylor grew up missing with Faith, Love or Family until a chance correspondence and a very bad year changed everything. But can his knew found faith heal the breach in the family and the ache in his own heart.

“Mrs. Mordrock.” the nurse said urgently, as she caught up to Shannon, “The doctor said not to tell you, but I thought you should know. You have a right. After all I have one of my own and can’t even imagine-”

“Imagine what?” Shannon interrupted flatly. She stopped so suddenly that the nurse nearly tripped over her.

“The second baby was alive.” the nurse whispered. A numbness crept over her.

“Was?” she gasped.

“Is.” the nurse confirmed, “I took him to the NICU. He’s surprisingly healthy for someone of his age and- and history.”

“Take me to- to the NICU.” Shannon said.

The baby was tiny, so tiny that Shannon felt sure that he would never live. The doctor was comfortably sure that most babies of that age had a small chance of survival. But Shannon could only see the living breathing child struggling for life and realize that at twenty-three weeks it was already a baby. Ransom was right, the fetus had been a human being all along. She had known this of course. How could she have been such a moron? A self-centered pig. A sword went through Shannon's heart. The bigger twin was dead, yet his smaller brother continued to fight.

She doubted that it would live, but she still filed the child under her own name. The hospital wanted a name for the birth certificate. So Shannon wrote her own name down. Taylor Mordrock. Upon arriving home she found the place deserted. No one was at home. It was all the better. She settled herself in her bed with her phone nearby and waited for the inevitable call. The baby comfortable would mostly likely die within the next couple of hours.

The phone rang. Shannon jerked out of sound sleep. She had been home for nearly three hours. She caught up the phone. It was not the hospital, but the school. Was the baby still alive? Shannon answered the call. A very irate principal informed her that no one had come to pick Jared up. He said nothing about Mary.

“Little Jared has been sitting in my office for over an hour.” the principal cried, “I’m sorry to trouble you, but I have pressing duties to attend too.” A cold feeling washed over Shannon. Where was Ransom and Mary? Who had been taking care of Jared when she was at the hospital?

“I’ll be right over there.” Shannon said, feeling relieved that the school was only a couple of minutes away.

Ben and some character I haven't decided on. I wasn't actually drawing a blind person, but I had trouble with the eye, so I gave him a blindfold. Maybe this will happen in the third book.

I wanted to draw something so ignoring my 200+ started books I made up a new story on the spot and drew some pictures.

I even came up with a synopsis.

Vinal is a Dornelian peasant in the vast Ice World. He knows far more about pigs and sheep than adventures. But when the princess of the Capitol goes missing, the royal guards suddenly appear on the farm searching for the Black Guardian and his family, who they believe is behind the disappearance. To Vinal's surprise, the people he believed were his parents suddenly turn him over. They had discovered him when he was a baby. He has the brand of the traitor on his left foot. Vinal is dragged to the capitol and locked in the secret dungeon of the guardians. For three years he sees on light through a grail, then a new prisoner joins them. Draith is a loud mouth prankster. He teams up with VInal and they escape. The guardians are after them. The only way they can return home is to find the princess. But as their journey progresses Vinal begins to question Draith's identity.

Vinal finds the princess. Draith, not at all excited, sneaks up behind the princess and scares her. After all, what are brothers for?

 

Draith's identity is revealed when the Boarder Guardians capture him and Vinal. As a suspect and a stranger Vinal is bound, but as a prince of the Capitol Draith is allowed to go free. He was far from pleased.
