This post is just a little late. The play was May 27th. :D
My mom did a post on her blog, where I snitched a few pictures from. Here. The ones that I did not take from Trinity Acres were taken by the parents of some of the actors.
The narrator came out and introduced the story and Cinderella's family.
Once Upon a time there lived a girl called Ella Marie.
To the World she was a Merchant's daughter. To her mother and father, she was a princess.
But tragedy strikes even the best of people, and Ella Marie's lovely mother died.
One day Ella Marie's father decided to start a new family.
Ella was kind while her step family was cruel.
Her stepsisters laughed at her.
Then Cinderella's father died.
Lady Miranda was very upset.

Several years later.
Master Won is busy teaching his class the proper way to fence.
He was not pleased with Prince John's progress.
While doing push ups for failing to practice enough, Maid Lucinda comes in to remind John to see the tailor.
Master Won thinks John's suit spells poverty to the core, as they say in his country.
The tailor waits patiently for John's visit.
John and Won are slow approaching as they must discuss the future upcoming balls on the way.
As the tailor measures John for his new suit, under Won's critical eye, John's sister Elise joins them.
She is more enthusiastic about the balls then John.

Meanwhile
Ella Marie is busy washing laundry, when her stepsister Blanche joins her.
Blanche is looking for a taffy skirt.
While Ella checks her laundry basket, Blanche remarks how she would like to be called the very charming and beautious lady Blanche.
At first Ella thinks Blanche is joking.
"You want me to call you lady Blanche?" she asks in surprise.
"No, I want you to call me the very charming and beautious lady Blanche." Blanche said with a smirk. Ella is horrified.
About this time, Blanche's sister, Hazel arrives.
After throwing ashes on Ella's face, the two of them dance out calling Ella, Cinderella.
Lady Miranda enters the room, and tells Ella that she cannot be seen in the company of ragged servant girls.
On her way back from the market, Cinderella runs into a lost boy called John.
Cinderella brings John back to her house.
While at Cinderella's house, a mouse runs through the kitchen, and John gallantly offers to get rid of it.
While unsuccessfully chasing the mouse, the step family comes in and is horrified.
Hazel finds some time to eat.
Lady Miranda is more worried about the spoiled dinner and how to punish Cinderella.
Another market.
A good day for buying.
Rowan a "former" thief tries to swindle some nice ladies.
Hazel and Blanche spot a necklace that they would both like.
"It's mine!" Blanche shrieks, "I saw it first!"
Cinderella is surprised to see John again.
Embarrased for running away on their last meeting, John brings Cinderella a supper to replace the one he ruined.
While John and Ella are conversing, they hear a trumpet blast.
Who should approach, but Master Won.
Master Won climbs to the top of the platform.
"Hear ye, Hear ye." he bellows pompously.
He pauses to unroll his scroll dramatically.
Master Won proceeds to announce three royal balls, which shall be hosted by Prince John.
The girls of the village are delighted, for the prince shall choose a lady at the ball for his wife. John is horrified.
John returns home and discuss the balls with his mother. He thinks having themed balls is silly.
The King is very distressed that they are having a pirate themed ball as he his people have been battling them for centuries. He does not want to honor them now.
Cinderella looks forward to attending the ball.
Decked out in Desert tribe themed costumes the step family encounter Cinderella and force her to remain home.
While crying in a corner, an old lady comes and speaks to Ella.
"I am your Hairy Dogfather." she says and grins.
"What?" Cinderella gapes.
"Oh, I mean Fairy Godmother." the old woman croaks, "Sorry about that Love!"
Suddenly she casts aside her cloak and sings, "Oh Light shine and change, give what is deserved!"
Cinderella's torn dress is repaired magically.
And so the Fairy Godmother happily makes a carriage out of a pumpkin and sends Cinderella to the ball.

It was neat to see my book transformed into a play. But it was all a lot of work. The costumes were actually a lot of fun to come up with. Mostly everyone did their own, though. Hopefully it will be soon. Maybe next week.
