"The Disappearance" drawings

These are drawings from "The Disappearance." I didn't have any help on them, so all this ugliness is mine. :D As you can tell, I kind of rushed on a few.

 Leif Igorson.
As the middle child of three boys, Leif didn't have much chance to be noticed. But when he turned fourteen, (the coming of age, birthday) his father not only gave him the traditional ax, but a ship as well. Leif has never really wanted to be a raider, his acts less like a raider and more like his mother's people. But unfortunately, during Shipbrother training he is chosen captain. So he proceeds to pick the likeliest people to loose. All the newcomers and the twins. His team are called the Dragonbrothers.

 Hal Igorson.
Hal is often jealous of his younger brothers. Believing them to be favored more. Unfortunately, Hal's way of dealing with anger and frustration is to bully both brothers. His shipbrother team is called the Snakebrothers.

 Svien Igorson.
As the youngest member of Igor's family, Svien is rather cheerful.

 Igor Hammerfist.
Father of three boys, and captain of the War Mangler. Igor is a typical Flagrinite Raider.

 Ellen Igorswife.
Igor claimed his sharp tongued wife on one of his raids. It's probably an interesting story as to how he got her to marry him in less then a year after they met, especially since one of his shipmates killed her father.

 Magnus.
With his poor eyesight, and clumsy manners, it is little wonder that no one would want Magnus on their team. But Leif is loyal to his best friend and picks him first. A fact that causes everyone to laugh at him. But Magnus is ready to prove himself a valued member of the Dragonbrothers. He favors the quarterstaff as a weapon.

 Rolf and Wolf.
The horrible twins, whom no one can really tell the difference, are the oldest boys in Lief's team. But they also happen to be the shortest and most immature. Even though they have had a whole extra year to train then anyone else on their team, they still seem to know less then any of the others. After all it is common knowledge that their team failed in everything the previous year, because of them. They favor small axes as weapons.

Ulf.
His family was new in the village, so it was little wonder that he was the last person to be picked. Of course he landed on Leif's team. But Ulf is quick to showoff his talent. The skill to mimic others. He quickly embarrasses his team by using their voices to insult each other. He prefers the traditional ax as a weapon.

 Gunnar.
He spent several years living in the streets and playing thief, after his parents died. Then sadly, his uncle caught him and tried to civilize him. Only Lief thought he would be a good addition to a shipbrother team. Having no father to present him with an ax he takes the untransitional sword as his weapon.

 Mikkel.
The son of a widow, who takes in laundry to make a living, Mikkel is quiet and eager to help her in every way. He is the most concerned when the team runs off. He worries that his mother cannot manage the big tubs of laundry without him. But he soon settles into the role of cook and healer aboard the Dragon. He prefers a sword. They are easier to carry then an ax.

 Ivar.
Big, brutal, and bitter. Ivar doesn't have a pleasant family, and he is not a pleasant person. He is angry that his team looks so incompetent. But he is quick to adjust to them. He has never treated Lief well, so it comes as a surprise when the smaller boy chooses him as the leader in their formations and the second in command aboard the Dragon. Ivar of course, prefers the traditional ax.

 Torstien.
At twenty-eight, Torstien is one of the youngest teachers in Shipbrother training. He is also the Captain of the Bloody Wolf. But underneath his smile and kind words he hides a treacherous heart. It is Torstien who attacks the Dragon. Think about it. A crew of seasoned raiders attacking a tiny ship that has a crew of six boys and two girls under sixteen and a one armed man. Pathetic. But Torstien steals their loot, cuts down their mast, steals their oars, and campus. He is evil.

 Ugar.
The head teacher of Shipbrother training.

 Bjorn.
Hal's best friend. He of curse is also a bully. He is part of the Snakebrother team.

 Tursgud.
The older brother of Rolf and Wolf. Tursgud was the unlucky captain who had the twins on his team their first year. He may dislike his younger brothers, but he will not let Hal and Bjorn bully them. Tursgud's team are called the Sharkbrothers, they came in second to the Dragonbrothers. But since the Dragonbrothers were disqualified as cheaters for doing things the rules didn't say they couldn't do, his team officially won. Tursgud felt bad about winning, and would be the first to hand the honor back.

 Roland.
Captain of the Wolfbrothers. Roland was the only boy in Reinport to sport an eye patch. When he was ten, he got in a fight with another boy. When the other boy's father tried to separate them, Roland fell against a stake and gouged his eye out. Luckily for him Flagrinite raiders think it is very fashionable to be missing an eye.

 Neil
Captain of the Vulturebrothers. He is also the captain that the book hardly talks about.

 The Overlord.
The Overlord was rather reluctant to disqualified the Dragonbrothers, so why did he do it? Well because Torstien voted against them. This Overlord makes a short appearance in "The Ranger's Bow: In My Enemies Land"

 Narik.
The Overlord's nephew, and one of the contest judges. Narik is in a few of the "Ranger's Bow" books and some of the "Sky and Companions" books.

 Sigrid.
Native of one of the Pirate Islands. She weilds and atlals and has a sharp tongue. After the Dragonbrothers kidnap her, she settles in as a crew member, and forgets completely that she is actually a prisoner who will be sold as a slave. The boys forget too.

 Katrina.
The perfect lady and a Native of the Mainland. The Dragonbrothers kidnap her to be company for Sigrid, but the girls have different interests. It takes awhile for Katrina to become accustomed to living on a tiny ship with eight boys and an old one armed man. They all smell terrible and don't care.

 Eirik Foehammer.
The mentor of the Dragonbrothers. When young Daniel Meldrum (Buck's father. Points for people who know who that is) cut off Eirik's left hand during a raid, Eirik drops to the bottom of a deep well of misery. He gets drunk and lounges around doing nothing. Then his old friend Igor gives his son a ship for the sole reason, so Eirik could teach him how to sail it. Eirik needed a purpose. When the Dragonbrothers sail off in an enraged temper, Eirik goes with them.

The Dragon.
Yeah, I can't draw ships really well.
